Love them or hate them, for a lot of us Parma Violets are the taste of our childhood. With their distinctly sweet, floral taste and pastel lilac colour they’re like the marmite of the confectionary world. Now the bitesize treat is all grown up with Zymurgriums’ take on the sweet – Sweet Violet Gin Liqueur.
Cultivated in Manchester’s first gin distillery, this delicately perfumed gin isn’t one to drink with tonic, pair the liqueur with lemonade, soda, or even ice-cream for a taste sensation. If you fancy getting your cocktail on, this gin can be used in place of Crème de Violet to create a myriad of drinks; such as an Aviation Cocktail. What you’ll need:
– 10ml Zymurgriums Sweet Violet Gin
– 15ml Maraschino Liqueur
– 15ml lemon juice
Pour the drink elements into an ice filled cocktail shaker and shake well before pouring into a chilled glass. Finish your cocktail with your choice of garnish (we suggest a cherry or candied violet) and enjoy!
